Vaishnavi lives in the slums with her parents and two brothers. All three children are regular students at one of the day education centers run by our partners in India. Her father works as rickshaw driver earning daily wages. Her mother sells old clothes she has collected from high rise buildings. Both of the parents work hard to feed the family. They are very keen to see their 3 children get an education.
Vaishnavi is an intelligent girl. She is also very social and joyful. She likes to play with other children her age and participates in group dances and other sports activities.
