Heena and her two sisters are regular students at one of the education centers run by our partners in India. Heena's father is a rickshaw driver and her mother earns money sewing clothing items from their home. Heena's mother was a tailoring class student at the vocational training school run by our partners. Last year, she was given a sewing machine of her own so that she could begin working from home. Heena saw her mother learning at the education center and became interested in coming to the center to learn as well. She is learning how to write the alphabet and is expanding her vocabulary. She is in good health.
